About The Business

Kaffee Cascara upcycles coffee cherry waste into nutrient-rich flour, addressing key challenges faced by coffee farming communities. By transforming waste that would otherwise contribute to methane emissions and land degradation, we reduce environmental pollution and improve sustainability. This process not only mitigates greenhouse gas production but also combats local malnutrition by providing a high-nutrient food source. Additionally, we support coffee farmers by purchasing their waste, creating an additional income stream that enhances their economic stability and quality of life.

Challenges and Overcomings

A key challenge has been the low adaptability of farmers to climate-smart agricultural practices, with only 9% currently adopting them. To overcome this, we are implementing comprehensive training programs through farmer field schools, aiming to reach 3,000 farmers by the end of 2025 and equip them with the skills for sustainable, climate-resilient farming.
